Welcome back, friends! I’m Younes, and in this channel, we’re not just painting — we’re fixing what’s broken and learning something new every time. In this third episode of the “Haunted House Painting” series (a project full of unexpected problems!), we take on a tough corner that’s anything but square.

What’s in this video?

We spot a major problem with a crooked corner and a door frame buried under layers of cement.

I’ll show you how to fix that with simple tools, starting with a colored string line to get a straight edge.

We uncover a shocking surprise: someone welded a rebar to the door frame for “support” — spoiler alert: it doesn’t help!

I use an angle grinder to cut it out safely and walk you through the two types of grinder discs: one for cutting, one for grinding. DO NOT mix them up!

We talk about grinder safety — trust me, those metal sparks are no joke.

After cutting out the rebar, it’s time to build a strong, straight corner with the help of a humble piece of MDF.

I show you how to prepare the right mortar using stone powder, natural sand, and cement — perfect for the finishing layer before painting.

Tips you’ll learn:

Never use plaster alone under cement. Cement and plaster just don’t get along!

Always wet the surface before applying cement — it helps with adhesion.

Want a cheap alternative to glue? Try mixing plaster with cement (but only for light use, like fixing MDF temporarily).

Pay attention to every detail before painting — even invisible structural flaws can ruin a beautiful paint job.

This project may look cursed, but we’re not giving up! With patience, the right techniques, and some elbow grease, we’re turning this mess into something clean and beautiful.
