In the summer of 2016, while performing a series of shows in New York City, Taylor Bennet wanted to make some new music. He had a vision for a track, but needed some other artists and musicians to help him bring it to life. Being outside of his native Chicago and distanced from his network, Taylor used Treble—a new social discovery app for music makers to connect — to find and assemble a group of local musicians and artists for a few studio sessions.

In a studio basement in Brooklyn, strangers instantly became collaborators, as the newly assembled group of music makers began vibing, riffing and creating what would ultimately become an awesome new track. The output was “New York Nights,” the debut single off Taylor’s new EP.

New York Nights is more than just a single. It is the culmination of an up-and-coming star, an upstart music-tech company, and a diverse collection of artists coming together to create something amazing. It is proof that technology - and companies like Treble - are bringing together the global music making community. And most importantly, it is a testament to the power of creative collaboration.
