It has been a great year for us thanks to your support. We have seen records smashed for cars and bikes. And it’s been a year with some royal connections. Some of these include taking Prince Philip’s 1954 Lagonda back to its old stamping grounds at Windsor and then selling it for a world record of £350,000. We were the only auction house invited to bring cars to Buckingham Palace to help celebrate the HM The Queen’s 90th birthday. And now we have been asked to sell a Ferrari Nembo Spider in March next year to benefit the East Anglia Air Ambulance Service, who Prince William flies for.

It has also been a year of many discoveries, barn-finds aplenty have emerged to create excitement, one E-Type in particular. And then there was the sale of Roger Nathan’s Costin Nathan which made a very strong price and which he is now restoring for its new American owner.

Internally there have been some interesting developments which we hope will benefit you. We have beefed up the management team, appointed a network of agents across Europe who are starting to feed us with interesting cars and also finding buyers for us on the Continent and we are now having e-catalogue sales at Donington which mean you can consign a car right up to the day of the sale.
