This is the interpretation of the song "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus. I have chosen the song because it relates so much to the career path of Nurses. The video was created 2009 when I started my LPN. I just had my graduation on the 14th of June 2011. The music did really inspire me as I myself wasn't exempted of the troubles and hardships in studies. Being a mom of 2 while attending classes full time in Bow Valley College and having a husband away from home due to work abroad, was a real test of faith, energy and dedication. I had complained so many times and felt quitting as well due to the tremendous load and stress that I felt. Yet every time I looked back and heard the song once again it reminded me that what matters most is the climb, it's the goal, it's what you want to achieve. So I persevered and I finally got it. Right before graduation 3 big institutions were even vying to get me. Now it's me who has the hard time to select which one. It's a relief. For those who just started with their course especially in LPN, please put your entire focus on what you want to achieve. Keep fighting for it. We will see together on the other side.
