This tool allows you to specify regular expressions and immediately see a visualization describing the parse tree of the regular expression and a visualization of the control flow graph. Unlike many similar visualization tools, this one is interactive, so you can click on characters in the regex or nodes in the control flow graph and see the corresponding part of the visualization highlighted. This makes it much easier to understand what each character in the regex is responsible for. This tool will also automatically generate a random string for your regex that contains at least one match, and provides an animation sequence to show what decisions are made by the regex engine as it matches a piece of text.
