Goliathus Class Cargo Ship - Ship Tour

Описание к видео Goliathus Class Cargo Ship - Ship Tour

The Goliathus class cargo ship, the largest project I've done up to this day. This multi-crew vessel is made for hauling large amounts of cargo through the stars. It's VTOL combination of thrusters and landing gears make it a versatile craft capable of navigating hazardous terrain and landing almost anywhere with enough space to accommodate a craft of this size. Sporting two doors for access to the cargo hold, the first being the large front ramp which allows cargo vehicles and personnel to get in and out of the cargo hold, the second large door is located in the rear of the ship and is only accessible by the built in crane located in the cargo hold. This crane can move cargo in and out through the rear door, position cargo withing the cargo hold and place cargo on any vehicles that enter through the front ramp.

An elevator is used to access the crane and the upper deck of the ship. Each and every door/elevator panel contains a third button used to call the bridge as well as a loud speaker in case of emergency. A horizontal bulkhead door is used to seal off the cargo hold from the upper deck, this door is opened when the elevator is moving up into the upper deck. The top deck consists of several rooms, the Captains Quarters, Crew Quarters, Mess Hall, Bathroom/showers, Storage room, Med bay, Armory and the Bridge. Several more rooms were planned but cut due to how much time it would have taken to make.

The hallways and walls are lined with removable panels for easy access and maintenance, the Mess Hall is fully stocked with food and drinks for long hauls and multiple sets of plates, cups and other utensils, with enough room for the entire crew to sit and spend time together. The Crew Quarters have a total of 16 bunk beads, the ship doesn't require 16 personnel to operate but can accommodate such a large number if needed, the bunk beds have built in terminals through which the crew members can view their messages, read the news and spend their personal time. The Captains Quarters (not shown in this tour) have their own bathroom, a king sized bed for the captain, work desk, cupboard and refrigerator. Through the T-Junction in the hallway and beyond the first bulkhead are located the Med Bay and Armory, the Med Bay has three medical beds that can be used for wounded crew members or any other patients that need transportation. As this vessel is primarily used by the Navy, the Armory is stocked with rifles and ammunition for the entire crew with enough racks to arm additional members if needed. The second bulkhead leads to the Bridge where the Pilot and Co-Pilot can be found, with flight controls and terminals that have admin controls over the rest of the ship.

The ship also has three turrets mounted on the top for defense while landed, these turrets can be controlled remotely by the crew, however the turrets have programming allowing them to detect friend and foe signatures and respond accordingly as per the rules of engagement or at the captains discretion.
