Since 1990, Gateshead Hatzola has never skipped a beat.
Whether it's 2:00 am in the morning or Pesach at the Seder, our dedicated responders will stop at nothing to save a life.
Whether it's scorching hot or thundering with rain our 32 dedicated volunteers will get to you within minutes. Whether it's a simple cut or a cardiac arrest our 32 dedicated volunteers will treat you with the same love and care.
Because Gateshead Hatzola is a work of heart.
Although Hatzola has been servicing the community for over 30 years, we have never had a permanent location we can call home. We were initially given kind permission by the yeshiva ketana to use their service yard as our ambulance parking base. However, due to their own building works, we were left homeless. With the benevolence of Keser Girls' School, we have temporary permission to use their staff car park for the short term. The bad news is they have now given us notice to leave since they need their precious space back. Over the last few months, we have spent countless hours searching for an ideal, suitable location.

The good news is that with tremendous Siyata Dishmaya we have found the perfect location- a 2 storey car park on Gladstone Terrace.
No longer will dedicated Hatzola members have to run up the stairs to the top floor of Splash House to replenish their life saving kits or go to a different location to restock the ambulances. With our own base we will be able to securely park current and future ambulances as well as have an ambulance maintenance cabin, a large stock room, training room, dispatch room and office. We can also secure an income from other parts of the car park which can help us with day to day running costs and minimize the need for future fundraising.
