Villia - No. 51 [ Official Video ]

Описание к видео Villia - No. 51 [ Official Video ]

" I wrote this song on 25th of July 2020. I remember the date because it was the day after Taylor Swift had released Folklore, and with it a beautiful folk balled called Seven. I remember being so moved by the song throughout listening, but the real punch in the gut came when I heard the line "I think your house is haunted/Your dad is always mad and that must be why". It was like the whole world stopped for a minute, because for me it clicked the exact other way around : your house felt haunted because your dad was always mad. I deeply related to that idea. It got me wishing I could've heard it when I was little, wishing I'd known that hurt doesn't last forever. You know how sometimes in interviews the host will ask an artist what's one thing they would like to say to their younger self? I guess a four minute song might be overdoing it a little bit, but that would be my answer. I'd tell myself that there will come a time when the hurting won't overpower the healing. "

In my hometown,
On a long street,
There's a house with
Number fifty-one on it,
And you can't tell
By the peach paint,
But it's haunted,
I know cause that's where I lived.

There's a doorstep
That a man kept
Crossing over,
Leaving behind no trace,
And the locks changed,
But his ghost stayed
Hidden in the Nights I can't erase.

So if you can hear him shouting out,
Just wait, the walls will drown the sound.

In a sofa,
Maroon velvet,
There are pennies,
I left them for you to find.
They won't buy you peace,
But they might just fix
That need for
Signs you're gonna be alright,

If your door creaks,
While a man keeps
Crossing over,
Leaving behind no trace;
If your locks change,
But his ghost stays
Hidden in the
Nights you can't erase.

If you can hear him shouting out,
Just wait, the walls will drown the sound.

It's just an old soundtrack
That always takes me back,
Heavy steps and doors slammed.
Still stings a little bit,
Still see it in my sleep,
The house where love went mad.

You can hear him shouting out,
Just wait, the walls will drown the sound.
