This is one of DayZ’s newest Community maps, currently in playtest. There’s a secret bunker, hidden inside of another bunker, all protected by a poisonous gas. Inside is where you’ll find the only modded weapon on the server, and quite literally the BEST vanilla sniper in the game, The AWM. And I found it. This video will show the struggles of getting to the bunker, how to get in, and where the secret bunker is that contains the AWM. You will even see exactly where I found the AWM in this adventure. I beat (at the time) DayZ’s newest quest, The Quest For The AWM.

This is the story that ended with Moonshine, and what came after, including the completion of the Avalon Quest, where I obtained the AWM.

Video Series Introduction -

Have you ever been to the desert? A dry, scorching wasteland, where the sun shows no mercy? If so, then you will understand what if feels like to traverse the deadly hills and valleys of this new DayZ map.

This new map is called Avalon, and is set in Catalina Island, California. It's unforgiving in ways I’ve never experienced before. Never in my 7000 hours have I seen a place where traveling during the day is too difficult without provisions and proper rout planning and clothing. The days are unbearably hot, and the nights still cold enough to easily get sick. Also, the hills and mountains provide cover and concealment, but coming up the wrong hillside or valley can mean certain death.

This series was just before the exiting DayZ Official 1.28 update, which will bring new weapons like the RAK and the R12, changes to vehicles, and so much more. Through these next few videos, you’ll see how this new map performs, flows, and looks. I broke the whole Quest into 2 main parts, with a 3rd bonus video at the end. This is part 2. See below.

This server seems to have vehicles respawning faster than normal. There are also more cars able to be found in the spawn, some with parts to get them running.
