Canneto. Lipari. Aeolian Islands. The Beaches of Lipari.

Canneto, a fraction of Lipari, on the largest of the Aeolian islands. The town overlooks a beautiful bay and has a magnificent beach which makes it the ideal destination for a seaside holiday in the Aeolian archipelago.

In Canneto, visitors can find everything they need for a relaxing holiday, hospitality for all budgets, tour operators for excursions to other islands, restaurants, shops and above all a crystal clear sea that is easy to use.
The long beach in front of the town is equipped for every need. Although it has some bathing establishments, it still remains free to access.
I also point out that in the opposite direction from the town of Lipari, where the Canneto beach ends, a short pedestrian path begins that follows the coastal profile between the typical houses adorned with flowers and panoramic views that are nothing short of enchanting. The walk ends with a descent that leads to the Papesca beach, one of the most beautiful of all the Aeolian islands. Here the sea is tinged with iridescent shades of green and turquoise by virtue of the pumice residues carried by the current. The other white beaches and Porticello beach can be reached by sea thanks to a "taxi" service operated by the Canneto boatmen.
Together with Acquacalda, another fraction of Lipari on the opposite side, the beach of Canneto was awarded the Blue Flag in 2018.
In short, not to be missed if you go to the Aeolian Islands.
