According to the ASER 2024 report, more than half of Grade 3 students are unable to perform basic arithmetic operations—a gap that must be addressed urgently.
Aligned with the NEP 2020's Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) goals and the competency-based approach emphasized in NCF 2023, this session offers practical tools and strategies for educators to diagnose, support, and strengthen early numeracy skills among young learners.

Educators will learn how to integrate simple diagnostic questions into everyday lessons and implement low-cost, high-impact activities—such as number talks, counting collections, and open number-line games—that strengthen students' understanding of magnitude, place value, and basic facts. By the end of the session, participants will leave with adaptable strategies, free resources, and the confidence to start boosting foundational math skills in their next class.
