Groucho the Mustache Parakeet’s Bedtime Routine!

My name is Debra Glaze, I live in Manhattan NYC with my family, a cat and 3 Birds! My son is 8, my husband is a software engineer/manager and I am an ex-chef that now makes art, soap and videos at home. I love to make new soapy creations and play with my birds, joke around with my son or to play the ukulele. I am not ever going to be that you tuber that has 1 passion, I am a bit ADHD and love too many things!

I want to spread awareness about birds too. 2/3 of my birds were adopted- one was caged and extremely wild when I got him. The one pet store bird was also in a small cage, unable to even perch on a person’s hand. Birds are a lot of work, but so worth it for the right person or family. I would like to tell people what it is honestly like to have these types of birds and what to expect so that they can make an informed decision. My birds have access to fresh food, open spaces and a shower daily and so should anyone’s!

In regards to my soapmaking, I am still very much a newbie- but with my professional background in cooking and art I hope to learn fast. After only a couple months I began to design my own cold process and melt and pour soaps. I have an Etsy shop; https://www.etsy.com/shop/Scarlettfox

My birds are;

🦜 Groucho; a Male Mustache Parakeet (adopted)
🦜 Bill-Burd-Baggins; an Indian Ringneck Parakeet I got 100% wild (adopted)
🦜 Niblet; a Monk Parakeet or Quaker Parrot I bought from a small pet store (I fell in love and he had been there 5? Months alone!)

I also have a few videos of other birds we had temporarily- like our foster amazon, Abby Kiwi. I do hope to get 1-2 more birds at some point when we are ready!
