What We're Bringing! Antique & Vintage Fest & Appraisal Fair

We're preparing for fun with floods of antiquers in Centralia, Washington! The Northwest's Antique Trading Center hods its annual antique street fair this weekend, and we're going to be so busy doing appraisals that we need to get our space at Tower Avenue Antiques in order ASAP. Everyone in town is packing it full of fun, so let's take a preview now!

My friend and I are stuffing every corner of my space, then taking a quick tour through town to show what else there is in this 1910 railroad town that USA TODAY proclaimed as one of the top 10 antique destinations in the nation! Vintage store displays, cute 1950s shaker sets, serious Victorian art glass and the coolest 1930s steamer trunk we've ever seen are populating our booth now, along with lovely linens, a scarce Doulton tapestry vase, showy brass and copper, World's Fair items and railroadiana...we're leaving no stone unturned, and no spaces empty!

Then we scan the mall's offerings as we walk out the door for window shopping in the antique downtown! Shady Lady draws us in with her unique combination of decorative vintage and a new specialty food section, and spends a little time telling us how shoppers from California and Arizona have raided the town for furniture and antique decor items this summer...we all have a lot of work to do to get ready for the weekend. We show the splendor of the 1912 Olympic Club & Hotel, where antique tourists can spend a few hours or a weekend marveling at original Tiffany chandeliers and Mission-style billiard tables that have never left the bar and restaurant.

A quick view of the many antique and vintage specialty shops in town (several malls, bookstores, estate jewelry and more) takes us to the corner near the 1912 Amtrak station, where visitors from Seattle and Portland come directly to shop Antique Fest...and see me for appraisals over the weekend! We're excited to be part of this charming and fun town, and this annual event that promises excitement for antique lovers.
