About the Event:

On Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024 from 9:00am to 5:00pm, City Tech in downtown Brooklyn hosted its ninth annual Science Fiction Symposium on the topic of SF, Artificial Intelligence, and Generative AI.

The event featured a keynote address by the award-winning Feminist SF scholar and writer Marleen S. Barr, a writers' panel of authors from Asimov's Science Fiction and Analog Science Fiction and Fact magazines, two research paper sessions, and a student panel sharing their original AI-themed flash fiction stories and discussing their relationship to contemporary AI technologies.
