Dont Stop Believing (Instructional keyboard cover)

Описание к видео Dont Stop Believing (Instructional keyboard cover)

This is my instructional keyboard cover of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing", which I am publishing under the "fair use" doctrine. This cover contains just keyboard and drums and is meant to show how this song might be played in a live setting with a band.

So, the Roland Fantom X7 has a bright piano patch programmed into it. The upper Roland JV-90 has some sort of bright "synthy-organ" sound programmed (again, the sound is actually coming from the Fantom X7, which is being controlled by the Roland JV-90).

As previously stated, I am NOT a piano player. I have never been a piano player. And, I will never be a piano player...LOL I just don't have the necessary skill to sound good on piano. That being said, the main reason I am posting with tutorial (there are DOZENS of "Don't Stop Believing" tutorials on YouTube) is the second half of the song.

I don't think anyone has this part right. Actually, I got it from listening to the Guitar Hero isolated keyboard track which exists somewhere on YouTube...LOL I had a tremendously hard time picking it out from the original recording, but Guitar Hero (and YouTube) saved the day! :-)

Oh, by the way, the repetitive bass notes in the piano part are only meant as a "choral framework"...allowing the listener to hear how the "synthy organ" sounds above the bass track.

Have fun with it!
