The first alleged victim testifying in the sexual offences trial of the controversial Nigerian pastor Timothy Omotoso and two co-accused has written a public letter expressing her gratitude for the support she has received. Cheryl Zondi who has been under intense cross-examination by defence lawyer Peter Daubermann, forwarded the statement exclusively to the SABC earlier today. Civil society groups in Port Elizabeth have called for the closure of Nigerian pastor Timothy Omotoso's Jesus Dominion International Church. They will hold a mass protest on Sunday. Several organisations and the public supported Zondi at court and on social media commending her for being brave and coping fearlessly with the questions.
