Grand Canyon Railway Steam Train

Описание к видео Grand Canyon Railway Steam Train

In Early April 2021, the Grand Canyon Railway #4960 ran to the canyon's South Rim, for the first time in more than a year. Built in 1923 by Baldwin, the former Chicago Burlington & Quincy 2-8-2 steam locomotive normally runs once a month between March & September on the line, but was canceled due to the pandemic. 2020 had virtually zero steam locomotive events on the calendar, so seeing a steam locomotive "excursion" back on the rails was a welcome sight!

In this video, you'll see the 4960 as it makes its way from Williams, AZ to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and back. In addition to the steamer, I threw in various shots of the other Grand Canyon trains, powered by their fleet of ex-Amtrak F40PH locomotives.

All video locations listed in the video.
