Dana Parsons, a local birder and also a member of Save The Roadrunner, speaking at Las Cruces City Hall on April 1, 2024. Mr. Parsons has spent a lot of time at the 56 acres of open green space where Las Cruces plans to build a new development project called Apodaca Blueprint. Mr. Parsons called on the Las Cruces City Council to consider the wildlife at the slated location of the project -- he wants the city to do its part by keeping the open areas untouched for the wildlife that lives there.
