Maine 4-H Virtual Science Cafés is a weekly series of webinars where you can meet scientists, learn how they got to UMaine, how they became involved in their work/research, and participate in informal discussions. This week, it's time to put on your thinking cap and help Tom Rounsville, University of Maine Cooperative Extension Molecular Diagnostic Professional, do a Wildlife Forensics investigation. Using many of the same techniques police investigators use in criminal cases, you'll see how crimes against wildlife are solved, and what it takes to charge the guilty party.

University of Maine Cooperative Extension Molecular Diagnostic Professional Tom Rounsville is an expert in DNA testing and investigates ticks for the presence of infectious agents. He also works with other Extension scientists and personnel to develop DNA technologies relevant to their respective fields and research needs.
