Overall I think we have deeply misunderstood the nature of empathy as a data integrity feature in online complex dynamic systems and engaging with care on this score isn’t about softness, its about clean data. Signaling disdain in the online era is more signaling information isolation. Signaling empathy is signaling discernment not outsourced to separate authority.
