Rae Lakes Loop to see Francois D'haene on his John Muir Trail FKT attempt.

We wanted to show our support for Francois D'haene and his crew during their John Muir Trail fastest known time attempt. So we went on a little trek of our own along the 43 mile Rae Lakes Loop which also runs along the JMT for a portion of the loop.
About 15 minutes before we set off we met another ultrarunner named Aar Jay, he asked if we were running and so we explained our plans. Next thing you know we have a random person joining us for a 43 mile trek through the mountains at night, EPIC!

Francois was fresh off his win at the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc and ended up knocking 12 hours off the previous FKT set by Leor Pantilat in 2014.
Francois finished the JMT in 2 days, 19hours and 26 minutes!!
