Actor Udhayanidhi Stalin has received criticism due to his prominent role on party platforms, which is often linked to his family's political legacy. Towards the end of last year...he formally announced his full-time commitment to Tamil Nadu politics, earning the moniker 'rising son' within the DMK.

On his 45th birthday, the DMK's official publication dedicated a substantial 71 pages of advertisements and articles to extend birthday wishes to Udhayanidhi, underscoring his increasing influence within the party. Prominent DMK figures also used social media to convey their birthday greetings.

Due to his innate shyness and introverted nature, Udhayanidhi did not naturally possess the mass leadership qualities that his forefathers demonstrated upon entering politics. Despite the extensive efforts of his father, M.K. Stalin, Grandfather Karunanidhi, and the DMK workforce, he did not emerge as the charismatic leader his family had produced in the past. To compensate for this, there were orchestrated efforts to create an illusion of his leadership potential, pushing him into the political arena of Tamil Nadu.

Experts believe that the controversial remark on Sanatana Dharma was a strategic maneuver crafted by the DMK's think tanks. They also assert that a prevailing sentiment suggests his rapid rise within the party.
