उज्जैन की सड़क पर 19 किलोमीटर तक लगी शराब की धार, जानें महाकाल की नगरी में ऐसा क्यों हुआ?

उज्जैन में राजा विक्रमादित्य के समय से नगर पूजा की परम्परा चली आ रही है. इस परम्परा का निर्वाह उज्जैन कलेक्टर करते है. इस पूजा में लगभग 19 किलो मीटर तक मदिरा की धार लगाई जाती है जो की शहर के कई देवी मंदिरों में जाती है. इसी परंपरा को निभाने के लिए महाअष्टमी के दिन अधिकारी चोबीस खम्बा माता मंदिर पर पहुंचे और देवी महालया और महामाया की पूजा कर देवी को मदिरा चढ़ाई गई. देवी शक्तियों को चढ़ाई जाने वाली इस मदिरा को प्रसाद के रूप में बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालु ग्रहण भी करते हैं.

The tradition of Nagar Puja has been going on in Ujjain since the time of King Vikramaditya. This tradition is maintained by the Ujjain Collector. In this puja, about 19 kilometers of liquor is poured which goes to many goddess temples of the city. To follow this tradition, on the day of Maha Ashtami, officials reached Chobis Khamba Mata Temple and after worshiping Goddess Mahalaya and Mahamaya, liquor was offered to the Goddess. A large number of devotees also consume this liquor as Prasad, which is offered to the Goddess Shakti.
