The first episode of the Seedz series, Seedz of Revolution: Growing Up New Afrikan, centers elder movement builders and multi-generational offspring of the New Afrikan Independence Movement and more specifically the 1968 proposed independent Black nation-state, The Provisional Government of the Republic of New Afrika (PGRNA). In historicizing the PGRNA within the context of Black Power as a revolutionary movement and means to liberation the film examines the ways in which its legacies persist through contemporary educational institutions, youth formations and intergenerational community exchange.
