Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Ufford and its amazing 5 and a half meter high font cover.

The glory of Ufford is most definitely I it's font cover which is second tallest to Southwold.

the tower began in the 14th century and completed in the 15th.

the chancel is 12th century.

Robert Lovekin was Rector here when he lost everything save for a silver spoon he hid in his sleeve. He came back and continued to be the Rector up until his death in 1678 aged 111.

There is an amazing tomb inside and many things we ran out of time for.

it is a pretty church set in the middle of the village, there is parking for one or 2 cars. the day we went there was a sign saying no parking in the church but that maybe because they had a village fair.

This church is well worth seeing just for the breathtaking font cover.

We had to end the video abruptly as there were too many people around us. Sorry.
