A BIG Upgrade For My Laguna 18-36 Wood Lathe | Wood Turning

Описание к видео A BIG Upgrade For My Laguna 18-36 Wood Lathe | Wood Turning

I have had the Laguna 18/36 for a little over three months now & I figured it was finally time to add the extension so I could get back to turning larger bowls. First on the extension is this 22" elm bowl that was turned during the afternoon the other day. This one was quite the challenge though for the first turning which was kind of to be expected since I have never used this extension but the main takeaway for me was no more coring on it. It started off nicely & I thought it might could be done but the vibration from the size of the bowl got the best of it & ended up snapping the tenon on the bowl & knocking the extension out of level. After it was all said & done, I am very happy to have the new addition to the lathe & I love how this bowl turned out. Turning larger pieces like this are one of my favorite things to turn so I look forward to pushing this lathe & seeing what I can do with it.
