It's been a while since I've discussed a movie or drama on this channel, so for today, let's discuss one of my favourite films, 'Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu (Be With You),' which premiered in 2004 and earned a Korean adaptation in 2018. The 2004 version starred Nakamura Shindo and the late Takeuchi Yuko, while the 2018 version starred So Ji-Sub and Son Ye-Jin.

Plot: Takumi is raising his son, Yuji, alone after his wife, Mio, passed away a year ago. But as Mio promised before she passed, she returned to them during the rainy season. She has no memories of them or her previous fate.

I first watched this because my favourite artist, Number_i's Hirano Sho, can't stop talking about it. He's named this his favourite movie countless times, compelling me to watch it. It immediately became a favourite of mine as well, given its heartwarming narrative about not just romance but also family.

The Korean version also fares well for a remake. I usually love comparing multiple versions of films or dramas, but this is one of the very few versions I actually love.
