Being born in the early 1960s and a "Latch Key Kid", Star Trek was one of the TV Shows that I waited to watch every Thursday night to help me escape the current reality of the world at that time.

During the turbulent 1960s with all the racial divisions, the Vietnam War, and political assassinations, it was Star Trek that would take me to a world where a diverse crew could explore the Universe. The Crew was unbeatable and the Enterprise was never destroyed in TOS.

Here is part one of my favorite scenes from a TV Show that was decades ahead of it's time.
