Full press conference: PM Lee, Khaw Boon Wan on Lawrence Wong being chosen as PAP 4G team leader

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Saturday (Apr 16) chaired a news conference on the selection of Finance Minister Lawrence Wong as the leader of the People's Action Party's (PAP's) fourth-generation (4G) team. Mr Wong and former PAP chairman and ex-Cabinet minister Khaw Boon Wan also spoke at the news conference.

Mr Khaw said an overwhelming majority of stakeholders chose Lawrence Wong as the preferred 4G leader; 15 out of 19 voted for him, and no one else got more than two votes.
