I did not tell him where we were going and it blew his mind this site was missed

Within minutes of being there a coin over 200 years old was found
I took him out there and told him you are not going to believe where I found an old homesite. We have been going out there for years and missed it by 100 feet.
I had found this untouched site while exploring and looking for a friends flashlight he lost. Untouched site meaning nobody has ever metal detected it before and we knew that right away. I had dug up and found a huge King George III 1806 copper penny the day before so we had to go back. Old clothing buttons, tools, buckles and more coins all find really easily at this old place. US large cents and a beautiful Massachusetts state copper large cent. We have been relic hunting this area for many years and it took reading the landscape history this time around to find it. there is no cellar hole button you can see a bit of a berm and impression in the ground. Not to mention that what we were sitting on we thought was just a pile of rocks but it was a cover well. We moved some stones and could see all the way to the bottom. Amazing metal detecting day and not vey often you get to be the first person to metal detect a site that has been deserted over 200 years. Long ago abandoned New England farm going back to the colonial days
