Fukuoka’s Beautiful tranquil waterfall

Shiraito Falls is a beautiful waterfall and is located on the Itoshima Peninsula, it’s a bit of a drive, but well worth it.


This waterfall attracts visitors all year round, but it is most popular during the hot summer months when they turn their surroundings into a cool escape and give some much-needed relief as it radiates and reflects the cool misty breeze from the falls.
Standing at a height of 24 meters this waterfall is quieter than other waterfalls which helps you to relax and unwind.
Also, in the summertime, the fall becomes very popular for eating the Japanese noodle called Somen where noodles are flowing through a tube or flume usually bamboo, and the objective is to try and catch as many laws as you can, the other thing is, you can catch Yamame fish in the streams (freshwater cherry trout) and the staff on hand will prepare the fish and grill it for you and comment. This is a very beautiful and quiet place to come and visit.
The fall itself is breathtakingly beautiful and definitely worth the drive because during the summer period the location is a great place to cool off with all the mist that surrounds it.
