This is a backward inclined blade. So similar to this, it’s rotating in the same direction. These blades are slicing through the air and it’s going along this straight blade profile. In a similar way as this [backward curved] fan, the air loses friction with the surface of the blade as it’s rotating, allowing it to move higher volumes of air at pretty good efficiencies.
