This is not a Foil for beginners in pumpfoiling. As you need a decent amount of Speed to start it from the dock its quite difficult to dockstart and I think I would not get it going from a lot of different places. But once you get it going, Oh Boiii its quite some fun! Due to its rather thin profile it feels super efficient. If you compare it to a my favourite Gong Setup the Curve XLT, it feels like there is no Drag at all. specially in a proper Boat wake. Also it feels amazingly stable once you gain some speed and in the Boat Wake its just pure fun. It likes to turn, but only if you want it too. Still the XLT feels more playfull to me... Therefore the Phantom 1780 is faster, more stable and feels way way way more comfortable when you get faster. There is nothing moving around, no flexion in the Mast, not anything I could complain about the quality.
