British Leyland's Italian NIGHTMARE? - The Rise and Fall of Innocenti

In this video we explore British Leyland’s partnership with Innocenti, how the “new” Mini was created along with its relation to the BMC 9X And the hatchback revolution. We also cover the many other cars of Innocenti and BMC including their versions of ADO16 the MG 1100 Morris and Austin versions and of course the Innocenti regent the Austin allegro that allegedly killed the company.


I give you a history of how this empire began and how it ended, from its inception making steel tubing to its offloading by British Leyland in the wake of their bankruptcy and the eventual closure of what was once one of BLs largest subsidiaries and one of Italy’s largest car manufacturers
