In this video I'm giving some tips will help you shoot better sequences. If you want to make your edits flow seamlessly you need to be thinking about the editing long before you get into your NLE. These B-roll tips will help you get footage that links together seamlessly once you bring it in to the edit suite, leading to better, more engaging videos.

A lot of people have put out videos that give you tips on how to shoot epic b-roll, but none of them show you how to actually link those shots together seamlessly. Usually they are focused on pulling off cool shots or unique transitions, (think whip pans, speed ramps, etc) and while these have their place, they tend to pull the audience out of a scene and draw attention to themselves. This can be harmful to your audience retention or make it hard to communicate your message to your viewers.

Good editing should have the exact opposite effect - it will be almost invisible to the viewer so that it lets them focus on the content. By following some of these tips, you'll be able to shoot footage that links together in to seamless sequences while editing.
