The 2025 BMw 7 Series (BMW i7 xDrive60) is the all-electric version of the flagship 7 Series sedan. For 2025, it continues to set a high bar for electric luxury, with a few key updates and refinements to its technology and standard features.


Key Features and Specifications

Powertrain: The i7 xDrive60 is powered by a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. The motors, one on each axle, combine to produce 536 horsepower and 549 lb-ft of torque. This allows the car to go from 0 to 60 mph in a brisk 4.5 seconds.


Battery and Range: It is equipped with a large 101.7 kWh usable capacity battery. The estimated driving range can vary based on wheel size and conditions, but it generally falls in the range of 296 to 311 miles on a full charge.


Charging: The i7 xDrive60 supports AC charging up to 11 kW and DC fast charging up to 195 kW. It can add up to 80 miles of range in just 10 minutes at a DC fast-charging station. A full charge from 10% to 80% takes around 34 minutes with a fast charger.

Standard Features: For the 2025 model year, BMW has made several desirable features standard on the i7 xDrive60. These now include massaging front seats and the Luxury Rear Seating Package, which provides ventilated and massaging rear seats, ensuring a top-tier luxury experience for all passengers.


Technology: The car's cabin is dominated by the BMW Curved Display, which seamlessly integrates a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central infotainment touchscreen. It runs on the latest iDrive 8.5 Operating System with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.


M-Specific Elements: The "M" in the name of the i7 M70 signifies a more performance-oriented variant, but the xDrive60 is also available with an optional M Sport package. This package typically adds more aggressive exterior styling (front and rear bumpers, side skirts), larger M Sport wheels, and an M Sport steering wheel. While the xDrive60 is not the full-fledged "M" car like the M70, the M Sport package gives it a sportier aesthetic.

The 2025 BMW i7 xDrive60 has already been released and is available at dealerships. The manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) for the i7 xDrive60 starts at around $125,375 in the United States. This price can increase significantly with optional packages and features.
