3850 Farewell- Last Service of Boiler Ticket in Style- 30/09/2015

30th September 2015 was 3850's last operating day before an overhaul after 10 solid years of steaming and operating on the WSR and other lines. So, on special request from the drivers, 3850 would give it some welly one last time for the cameras and sound her distinctive high pitched whistles across the Cotswold countryside.

We start off at Cheltenham Racecourse where she arrives and uncouples before running round her train and preparing for the last service. We then go to Dixton Bridge and then on down to Hailes where the wind can sadly be heard throughout the clip. Lastly, we see her in Toddington Yard- being cleaned out for the very last time of her long period of steam.

Many thanks to the crew of 3850 for being cooperative and friendly on her last run.
