Pumlumon Fawr / Plynlimon and the sources of the Wye and Severn

Описание к видео Pumlumon Fawr / Plynlimon and the sources of the Wye and Severn

Plynlimon (or Pumlumon in Welsh) is the highest point of the Cambrian Mountains, and the highest point in Mid Wales (752 metres).

On the sides of Pumlumon are the sources of two rivers:The River Severn (The longest river in Great Britain) and The River Wye (The fourth longest river in Great Britain).

This challenging 20km walk starts by Nant-y-moch reservoir and visits the source of both the Wye and Severn as well as the summit of Pumlumon.
The route is challenging due to the amount of walking where the terrain is marshy and tussocky (even some sections that are meant to be on marked paths.

There are opportunities for a dip in the rivers, I chose a beautiful spot under a waterfall to cool off and have lunch.
