How to find a misfire without a check engine light using mode 6 OBDII scanner. This will work with all 4.6L V8, 5.4L V8, & 6.8L V10 Fords. This test was done in a 2001 Ford Expedition 5.4L V8 Triton. Ford engine computers tend to not throw a check engine light even if it's misfiring, and this is how to find it.
