This is the Venturi Mark 8, a new springer, mag-in-grip pistol from NorthEast Designs.

I have always liked the design language of the Chimera, a bullpup springer by NorthEast Designs. The curves, the ergo, it was all very elegant. Not gonna lie, getting the trigger linkage to work was a pain, but its worth it. Definitely an underrated blaster, especially with the TCUB and the Lynx competing in that space now. When I saw that NED was creating a new blaster, you best believe that I was all in. As soon as the hardware kits were released, I had one ordered.

I chose to go with the straight mag design, because I have a lot of the straight Talon Mags on hand. Parts were printed on my Prusa Mini at 0.2mm layer height. There's a really well planned printing guide, complete with recommended infills and perimeter counts. The files are easily downloaded off of GitHub and are separated into groups. That makes for easy color picking and printing. Each group listing also contains a picture of suggested print orientations. I followed it as exactly as possible. There's also a decent build guide to go with too, but it's not one I'd recommend for someone's first build. The only extra part I printed, besides the mag extender, was a pump grip print that's supposed to be for the carbine variant.

Yeah, I plan on building one of those too. Hardware kit's on its way.

I used MatterHackers Electric Green PLA and FilamentOne Glint Midnight PLA for the parts. Never used FilamentOne filament before, but I liked the way it printed and the color was smooth. A good alternative to the Fillamentum Vertigo series, if you can't get your hands on it.

When I saw the panels on the sides, I immediately thought, 'Dude, some LEDs would look super dope under there.' So after I finished building the blaster, I tore it apart again and added on a strip of blue LEDs. Used a 9V cell to power them, which is housed in the foregrip. The switch is wired on the the left side and secured with epoxy putty to the left panel. All put together and under the 365nm black light in my workshop, it looks pretty badass. One of Thanh's Slurpee scar muzzles really just ties it off well.

Performance is right where I expected it, hitting consistently around 197 FPS. There were a few outlier shots and the max I saw was 201.
