How To Mop Floors | Simple Cleaning Tutorial

This video is all about how to mop floors with the good old fashioned string mop.

The string mop is my favorite mop to clean with! I feel like it does the best job at getting floors crisp and clean.

There are 2 ways to use the string mop. You can go with a level 1 which is called damp mopping or you can go with a level 2 cleaning which is called slop mopping.

The level 1 cleaning is a general maintenance mop. It is for floors that don't get very dirty and are mopped regularly. Floors with low traffic.

Fill up a bucket with warm water, pour your favorite cleaning solution into the water, ring out the mop until it is mildly damp and use it to mop your floors. You are wiping off the floor the way you would wipe off your kitchen counters.

The level 2 cleaning is for floors with high traffic and are very dirty. Maybe you have large dogs going in and out of your house or there is a layer of hair spray on the floor. This is when you want to go with the level 2 cleaning aka slop mopping.

Fill your bucket up with hot water, pour your favorite cleaning solution into the water and drench your floors with the water. Use the mop to scrub the floors. Next, rinse and ring the mop out as dry as you can get it and use it to collect all the dirty water from the floors. You may need several buckets of water to complete this process.
