The phase began in the capital city of New Delhi, famously known for its bustling traffic forcing the citizens to plan out their days well in advance with a few folks peering their eyes out of the windows even before sunrise. We faced a bit of setback due to this vicious condition and all the members of the trip were only able to get together in the last hour for the overnight bus journey.

Kicked off the journey with windy chills and smooth highways after dinner. The boys sat together at the back of the bus looking for trucks and petrol pumps, just for the sake of it. The packed bus was all too favourable for the gang and a large chunk of the journey passed with musics on speakers as well as in speeches.

The roads were fairly comfortable when we were passing through Haryana & Punjab. Everyone chatted for quite a while and fell asleep before we could enter the target, viz., Himachal Pradesh. Our eyes opened up when the bus stopped for the morning coffee break. We started finding answers to the question of why we decided to embark on this journey slowly when the sun hit our cheeks and we were blown away.

After getting the dose of what would become a very frequent occurrence, caffeine, we got rejuvenated and ready for the remaining few hours when we had to drive through the valleys. With turns coming at every few hundred meters, the journey is long but its blissful to experience the thousands of trees lined along the mountains of Parvati Valley. Snow is still a little bit away but we have entered through the gates of heavens.

This is just the beginning though. There is a lot more in store when one visits the paradise state of Dev-Bhoomi Himachal Pradesh surrounding the Shivalik.
