Middle East/Gaza Strip - PLO Press Conference

(18 May 1994) The commander of the PLO security forces in the Gaza Strip and
Jericho announced on Wednesday (18/5) that his forces and Hamas,
the Islamic Resistance Movement, have many things in common. Major
General Nasri Yusef told a press conference in Gaza on the first
day of its liberation from the Israeli military occupation that
Hamas supports the struggle of the Palestinian people and will act
accordingly.
