Dying my hair with Strawberry Leopard by Sally Beauty in the shade Prismatic Purple! I also test out the Punky Colour platinum bleach kit they sell at Sally's and it was kind of a fail due to me not reading how little product the kit actually comes with. The kit retails at $13.19 for an ounce of powder bleach and 2 ounces developer. It's kind of insane considering you can get 16 oz powder bleach tub for an average of $25 using another brand sold separately. And as for the toner (one of the main reasons I purchased) - it did nothing what so ever. To cover an average hair length it would have taken at least 4-5 boxes. But that product aside, the strawberry leopard color still came out cute! I was comparing it to Artic Fox Periwinkle which I have previously used and stopped using due to the smell alone.. its so strong it gives me a massive headache that lasts for days which is very discomforting and inconvenient. The Strawberry Leopard has a very mild and pleasant smell, just like a leave in conditioner would have. No headaches. No chemical fake scent. I also used the Ion Bright White Creme Lightner and Ion 20 volume developer to do my roots and its an all time favorite product combination of mine, as it lifts beautifully without damaging my hair and I've always had success with it, however using a 20 vol wasn't going to lift me to a platinum which was my intention, hence why I picked up that kit to try it out because it contains a 40 volume developer. And of course, naturally you think that would mean it works better, but it really just causes unnecessary dryness and damage. Don't use it save your money and get a 16 oz bleach tub with a separate developer, you can try 20 or 30 volume in multiple rounds but I would avoid 40 altogether.
