Unity has unveiled a new pricing that is quite complex and is generating tons of confusion
Here I will try to clarify some things, although I don't work for Unity so this is merely my interpretation from reading the Blog post and Unity Forums.
#Unity have just announced a new pricing structure and honestly from a PR perspective I don't think they could have done worse.

First the good, free users, the Personal tier has had many of its revenue restrictions removed and is available to more users.

Now the bad, Unity are implementing a fee or tax on all new installs of Unity games, no matter when they were developed, starting January 1st, 2024.
