Color Theory: How to Hold Every Possible Color

Описание к видео Color Theory: How to Hold Every Possible Color

Ever wondered if you could hold a model representing every possible color of paint? 🤔 That’s a challenge color theory tries to solve!

In the Renaissance, artists used limited pigments and relied on light and shadow to replicate nature. 🎨 But then came Isaac Newton in 1666 with the first color wheel—explaining the science behind colors of light. 🌟

Fast forward to the 20th century: more pigments meant artists needed a way to describe all those new colors. Albert Munsell introduced a system breaking color into Hue (color name), Value (lightness or darkness), and Chroma (intensity). 🔴 ⚖️ 💥

Munsell even created a 3D “color solid” to represent every possible hue, value, and chroma—a powerful tool that artists still use today. 🌀

Meanwhile, Josef Albers looked at how we perceive colors, showing how hues change based on what’s next to them. 🌈👀

Today, whether you’re mixing paints or tweaking digital hues, learning color theory helps you master color in your work. 🖌️✨
