Hotel Review - Residence Inn (Gen 1) Dallas Las Colinas

Residence Inn, in general, is a brand that I like. But I've always been fond of the 1st generation Res Inn properties from the late 70s to early 90s. They're set up more like an apartment complex than a hotel, spread out across multiple buildings with 8 units each. I'm a fan for a lot of reasons, but perhaps the biggest one is the use of exterior room entrances without the issues of a motel. In other words, you can conveniently drive right up near the entrance to your room, but the entrance is still separated by a short path and a bit of landscaping. This makes the place feel classier and provides a lot more privacy. The rooms also don't suffer from a lack of natural light.
