The Ever-Changing Basket Bag

Описание к видео The Ever-Changing Basket Bag

Learn to crochet a basket style handbag and appliques you can change for every occasion! Customize it any way you like. Make a handbag, a market bag or a basket, you decide. Attach pins to your favorite appliques and attach them to your basket bag in any way you like.

In this video, I teach how to make the bag first and then I teach the large poppy flower Applique. Below are links to many more appliques and tools that I promise in the video including the written pattern for my version of the Candy Blossom Flower.

And here is the written pattern from my flower
You will need small amounts of 4 different colors of yarn and a hook that is 1 or 2 sizes smaller
than the recommended hook for that yarn.

Using Color 1:
Row 1: 10 SC in a Magic Ring, pull ring closed and join with slip stitch (10 st)
Row 2: Ch 1, 2 SC in each st around. Join with slip st (20 st)

Using Color 2:
Row 3: Join new yarn from any SC in row 1. 2 SC in each st in row 1, going over the top of row two. Join with slip st (Still 20 st)

Using Color 3:
Row 4: Join new yarn in any single crochet from row 3. Ch 1 and 2 SC in same st as ch 1, 1 SC in next st, 2 SC in next st, 1 SC in next st
Repeat from * to * around. (30 st)

Using Color 4:
Row 5: (Back row of petals) Join new yarn in back loop only of any sc from row 4. Each petal is done in 3 stitches. There are 30 stitches total
So when this row is complete, you should have 10 petals
First Petal: In back loops only, ch 1. 1 DC, 2 TC, Picot, 2 TC, 1 DC all in next stitch, Sl st in next stitch to anchor
Second Petal: In back loops only, sl st in next st. 1 DC, 2 TC, Picot, 2 TC, 1 DC all in next stitch, sl st in next stitch to anchor
Repeat second petal around, do not join. (10 petals in back loops of row 4 SC's)
Row 6: (Front row of petals) This row of petals will be done in the front loops of the SC's from row 4 in front of the petals in row 5
Offset the petals in this row from the last by slip stitching in the front loops of the next 2 stitches
First Petal: In front loops only, sl st in next st. 1 DC, 2 TC, Picot, 2 TC, 1 DC all in next stitch, sl st in next stitch to anchor
Repeat first pelat around and join with sl st. Ch 1, break yarn and weave in ends. (10 petals in front loops of row 4 SC's) Done!

I love to see pictures of your works, join us on Facebook at Ginell's Quarantine Crochet and meet a group of creative and kind people who love to cheer each other on. They have been my safe place during crazy times and I truly appreciate them all.

Enjoy!
