Muslim woman harassed and threatened by Warasiguda police after going to complain about a ganja gang

Hyderabad – On October 23, in the Warasiguda PS limits, a ganja gang attacked two individuals, Sajjad and his friend Sohail, broke into Sajjad’s house, and abused his family members with obscene language.

Sajjad’s wife, Razia, alleged that when she went to the Warasiguda police station to file a complaint, the SI there harassed them.

Razia stated that when she and her mother-in-law, both women, went to the station, the police told them they would only accept the complaint if Sajjad and Sohail came in person, made them sit there until midnight, and there wasn’t a single female police officer at the station. She further alleged that when they said they would leave, the police threatened to arrest her husband and his friend.

Razia expressed her anguish, saying that after returning home at midnight, the same SI repeatedly called and threatened her the next day, summoned her to the police station, forced her to give a video statement as per his instructions, and detained her until 11 p.m.

Razia met the Additional DCP of Malakpet to file a complaint against the Warasiguda police, demanded a case be registered against the ganja gang, and requested protection for her family.
