Sawdust briquettes with a vertical log splitter?

Wanted to see if you could do a quick briquette press out of a vertical log splitter without doing a lot of modifications to the thing and still be able to use it as a log splitter, I guess the last idea kind of works? if you throw the block in the fireplace right after pressing it lol....

Anyway this looks like it's a lost cause and i'm not planning to revisit this setup again, wanna do a horizontal style press up next.
